Welcome to my Winter Garden
(While the picture is loading, enjoy reading how it happened!!)

Last November, I potted 35 bulbs from Dutch Gardens.  I used a sterile pot, added some crushed stone on the bottom.  I then, filled the pot about 1/2 full with commercially prepared potting soil.  The first layer were the daffodils and tulips.  I added more soil and then, layered two different kinds of crocuses.  There was one other type of flower that I added but for the life of me, I can not remember.  I'll have to wait and see.  That's part of the fun of gardening---to wait and see what comes up.
The next step was to place the pot in a chilled location but not freezing.  I found that the best place for me was in our garage.  The temperature stayed just above freezing.  I live in zone 5/6 for planting so the weather can get very cold in the winter.
The pot stayed in the garage for about 15 weeks.  During this time, I watered the pot about once a month.  At the end of February, many of the flowers were peaking through the soil so I brought the pot indoors and set in a filtered light location.   I couldn't wait any longer.  I had to see what was going to bloom.  In one week's time, this has been the growth.  Amazing!
