Measures
for land protection from water erosion
Taking into account the state as to the land conservation in the
region, the State board for ecological safety will continue work and the following
measures should be taken:
- To begin works in conservation of the washed out plough-land and plough-land on the
slopes with more than 10 degrees by means of alkalinization and removal it for improvement
in the region.
- To achieve the end of the works in inventory of lands from water fund with determination
and fixing protective riversides for users.
- To mark objects at the riversides, which are not responsible for established regimes of
managing.
- For necessary control over storage of available useless and forbidden toxic chemicals to
begin works on forming of the common base stores for its storage in the districts of the
region.
- To favour to adoption of the measures for organic manure use, which are accumulated in
the regional piggeries and poultry farms.
Wich the purpose of more effective control over land state, the State
board consideres it is necessary to ask the Ministry for Ecological Safety of Ukraine for
the following:
- to speed up the working out of the methods for detecting extent of damage caused by
pollution and clogging of land resources by violation of environmental legislation and
mechanism of its adoption;
- to begin the working out of mechanism for accounting of the removed fertile soil, the
order of determination of its belonging and acception to the balance (including official
statistics);
to apply to the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine for financing of the worked out program
of land protection from water erosion in the region, which provides for building of 658 km
long water-diversion ditches, 156 spillway structures, 935 pipe crossings, 159 km long
embankments, 232 km long bank consolidations.
