State of Land fund of the region
Land fund of the region is 1275.3000 hectares as of 01.01.1998.
Agricultural areas occupies 36.6% from land fund and accounts 468.7000 hectares from which 42.8% or 199.9000 hectares are plough-lands. It is necessary to note that inspite of reduction of agricultural lands to 0,7000 hectares at the expense of house-building and building of flood-protection hydrotechnical works, area of the plough-lands had increased to 1,9000 hectares for this period. It is very important under conditions of land shortage in the region.
