Finally, after being unable to get online, getting online and finding Fortunecity's server busy, and having my computer glitch constantly on me, I can finally post pages again.

Unfortunately, my last report was the last time 'Tsunni ate on his own. He continued refusing to eat, even clamping his teeth down on the syringe when I was force-feeding him. 'Tsunni started growing rapidly weaker and he passed away last night. These herbal pages have been dedicated to him.

May 12, 1999

Wow! No new stuff in almost a month! That's all right, though, I've been making a few changes and fixing some problems with the page. Also, "real life" has reared its head in a rather ugly form and I've been having to take care of one of my beloved ferrets (Nightsun) who became deathly ill last week. So, instead of working on my pages, I've been force-feeding a ferret who has an upset stomach and won't eat otherwise.. ::sigh:: His veterinarian says he has insulinoma (cancer of the pancreas) and too much insulin is being secreted into his blood stream which drastically lowers his blood sugar. The vet has put Nightsun on Prednizone, supposedly to help the insulin levels. In the meantime, I've been force-feeding the poor little guy canned "a/d cat/dog" food which is supposed to be very nutritious for him, but he, of course, hates it. Due to the upset stomach, I've been also feeding him Slippery Elm "gruel" which helps neutralize excess stomach acid. Slippery Elm is also a very nutritious food, often given to people (and animals) who are too sick to eat anything else (like people on chemotherapy). Slippery Elm has about the same nutrition content of oatmeal. Thankfully, Nightsun doesn't object to the Slippery Elm as much as he does to the a/d food! And.. Nightsun has regained most of his strength and I saw him eat some solid food on his own today!! The first in over a week! I'm so happy!

And so now I can work on my pages again and finish the touch-ups I started. =)

I'm putting future additions on hold until I get the few mistakes I've made in these pages cleared up. Mistakes (nothing major) include some links I forgot to add, a few typos and some things that might affect loading time. I'm working on them and will get them done asap so I can get back to my research. Keep an eye out for the changes! =)

Ok, ok, I haven't added anything new for a bit, but I went on a short vacation, then I had to send my computer to the computer doctor for a bit to get it's CDRom fixed. I'm back, though, and so is my 'puter and together we're bulldozing at full steam ahead, working our collective butts off to get some new pages up! While I was gone, I came up with some new ideas for additions to my pages. If all goes well, they'll be up in a month or so (Hey! I still have other pages to get up first, you know ^_~). Well, can't talk now, I've got work to do. See ya around!

I have added another herb list to my files. Each herb is listed only once and by the name at the top of its file. It should hopefully make for a quicker reference. Both the Common Name List and the Scientific Name list are still up. All three lists should provide quick access to whatever information is sought (provided that it's on this site ^_^).

Ok, it's been a month since anything new was put up, but, hey! I've been working on it! Finally! The Actions List is up and it's linked linked to lists of herbs for each action AND!! each herb on the list is linked to a that herb's file! So.. there ya go! Check it out!

I'm currently working on Dandelion (T. officinale) and Echinacea (E. purpurea) for additions to my herbal files. Look for them in a couple weeks, if not sooner!
