About TempestWolf

TempestWolf was born in England in 1978. Yes, she's a "young'un", but that doesn't mean she doesn't know anything. For the past 6 years, she's studied herbs, mostly on her own, digging through books and picking people's brains for information. Finally, in May, 1997, she apprenticed under Herbalist Wendy Fogg in Durham, New Hampshire, United States of America. After a six month course, she graduated and has gone on to take other informal classes under other herbalists such as Rebecca Petee and attended lectures by authors such as Steven G. Ottariano, R. Ph, (author of Medicinal Herbal Therapy: A Pharmacist's Viewpoint) in order to further her education. While she doesn't have paying clients or her own herbal business, TempestWolf uses her herbal knowledge to enhance her life and the lives of family, friends, pets, and those who just happen to be passing through and request her help.

In addition to being an herbalist, TempestWolf is also a Reiki II Practitioner, having completed her level I training in Traditional Usui Reiki, November, 1996 and her level II training in August, 1997 under Reiki Master Sara Seifert-Piper. As a Reiki Practitioner, TempestWolf runs a Reiki business and a free Reiki Clinic in Portsmouth, New Hampshire.

And, after being pressured by friends and family, TempestWolf is now looking into going to massage school so she can enhance her "natural massage talents" so she can give even better backrubs to those stressed-out people she loves so much!

TempestWolf currently lives with her mother, her mother's two cats, her dog and four furry little slinkies which most people call ferrets. She makes her home wherever she happens to be, as she often travels between Kittery, Maine, Orono, Maine, and eastern Pennsylvania.

Her hobbies are: learning about whatever she can get her hands on, gardening, playing with her friends and pets, martial arts, reading, writing short stories and poems, drawing, roleplaying games, painting miniatures, designing web pages, playing (working) on the computer, playing in the snow, and howling at the moon. (Whew! That's alot!) ^_~

Her interests are: all things natural, healing, people, ancient myths and superstitions, mythical beasts, roleplaying, cooking, anime, most types of music, ancient history, and art of all kinds.

Her pet peeves are: willful ignorance, rudeness, people hurting each other, animals and nature, lack of respect, and people who can't/won't control/instill discipline in their kids and/or pets (I'm all for fun and games, but there's a time for play and a time for seriousness.)
