Resthouse in historical setting - Kuala Selangor

Kuala Selangor is a very interesting place. Maybe you would like to get better acquainted with this holiday destination via our other site!

On the historical Bukit Melawati, there are 3 residential buildings - that for the District Officer, Districts Engineer and the guests!

Hidden among trees, there are fort and boulders, this nice bungalow.

This building, by the way, can only be seen when one is already up to its car park..

A turn off at the mid section of the circular road, onto the right will lead you to the Resthouse.

Signboard is also available to prompt visitors of the turn-off.

In the tradition of old houses, it is practice to have covered car park.

This Resthouse has that.

This picture shows an open air patio. The Resthouse has a simple menu with minimum choices, but serves good  meals

No wonder that it is the preferred venue for lunch by the working community.

The building has 7 rooms, all equipped with split unit air-con and charges a very reasonable Rgt. 40 per night.

Recently, to create greater awareness of its existence, a gigantic signboard on the vantage point was added.

Travelers using the Kuala Selangor Bridge will be able to see a sign showing the Resthouse where about.

The building perching on the hill, is sharing its compound with the Melawati Fort.

From this high vantage point at the Resthouse, some of the good views are:-

[1]The Selangor Plains, [2]the off shore islands, [3] Port Klang in its horizon and [4] commanding view of the bridge over the Selangor River.

This place coupled up nicely with any program planned for Kuala Selangor- either you are coming here for - breakfast, good nostalgic places, seafood dinner or fireflies!
