The Stopover point for the hill journey-The Gap
![]() |
In the
early years back into the 50's and 60's it was an
adventure trip to drive from Kuala Kubu Baharu to Raub
via Tranum. The jalopies then did not move that fast up the hills and reaching the saddle called "The Gap" was a feat and a well earned rest. |
Within clearing of the jungle besides the road, the broadening of the road and more users, the excitement and the uncertainities associated with the journey had all disappear. Vehicles and drivers do not need any more rest at this highest point. The sigh of relieve has now transformed into a moment of anxiety, hoping to clear the second half and get away from this winding road soon.
| So, what is left and who stop here? Traffic going up to Frasers and those that reach this point during the "even" hours. They will have to wait, the longest for an hour before the gate to Frasers Hills is open for their ascend. | ![]() |
