Teluk Intan

This is huge township at the confluence of the Perak and Bidor Rivers, a junction town, an adminstrative center and now sprawling metropolis.

This is a scene at the bank of the Perak River that flows by the town. At this spot was a small jetty to cater for the riverine activities many years ago.

With rapid progresses made in Land transport, bussiness involving the sea and river for this town is now narrowed to ship and watercrafts construction!

"The Leaning Tower of Teluk Anson"

This is the famous landmark of Teluk Intan formerly known as Teluk Anson. It is built in 1885 and is still the one item that is drawing vistors to this remote township

They called this the "Water Clock" It is still functioning. Does the clock runs on water? -For me to know and for you to find out!

The town itself is fairly large and widespread. At the entrance to town are the huge adminstrative offices. The broad roads will eventually ends at the old commercial quarters

In the vicinity of the Clock Tower [leaning] is an open town square and flank by blocks of retail shops in a square! Beyond that the town edges closer to the river banks and the oldest part of the original town ship!

Here along Market Street, a long street that runs along the river banks is an old settlement of Teluk Anson. Wooden houses among Sonneratia trees and wooden boardwalks
