The border town of Tanjong Malim
This is the usual stopping point for express buses plying the old Highway 1 from Kuala Lumpur to Ipoh! Is it because of its mid point position? after the winding stretches at Kuala Kubu Baharu? or at the state boundry? All these factors has become obsolete and irrelevant!
| This
specially designed stone marker greets visitor travelling
along Ferderal Route 1 to the Perak state. An enlarged
bus terminal now lies just beside the stone marker. Express buses going to destinations of Ipoh and beyond do not stop in Tanjong Malim anymore! While those destined for nearer towns of Bidor and Tapah have new rest places out of town! |
