This was the first Taste of Randolph and it was held on March 8, 1997 at the Randolph Jr./Sr. High School, Memorial Drive, Randolph. Starting at 4:00 and proceeding to 8:00pm There was a Cabaret in the older gymnasium starting from 8:30pm to midnight.

It was a spectacular event, with a huge turnout, maybe even a bit too huge, at times the food court was packed to the rafters (if there had been rafters.) Overall everyone had a good even a great time.

Many important lessons were learned and will be applied to upcoming Taste events.
